Always leave a photocopy of your passport and driving licence together with details of where you are staying with someone when leaving Ireland. This could be invaluable if you loose your or if someone needs to contact you.
Have a checklist of things you may need to aquaint yourself with if case of emergency e.g. phone number of local police, doctor, chemist, nearest hospital, 24-hour emergency bank number that issued your credit card so you can cancel it in the event it is stolen.
Familiarise yourself with where you are going. The internet makes things so much easier, you can google a destination before you travel.
Don’t bring to much - we tend to overpack. Pack for all seasons always bring some rain gear.
Think about footwear - There's nothing worse than cold wet feet or hot sweaty feet.
Always bring your own little first aid kit e.g anti bug spray, plasters, anti bacterial wipes, hand gel, disinfectant spray, an antibotic, paracetamol, bottle of water. This could be invaluable to you.
